Welcome to October fear friends. A month when cold weather creeps in and nature starts falling apart, but at least there’s candy.
I’d like to start off by welcoming subscribers new and old. Happy to have you. My name’s Jed and if you want to get in touch, just hit reply.
Over the last year, I’ve been sporadically piecing together an episode about Virtual Reality for my podcast. It’s an in-depth look at an interactive exhibit I stumbled upon at the First Division Museum. Keep an eye on your podcast feeds.
🎃 October Activity: Try Podcast Brunch Club
This month, step out of your comfort zone by joining a local chapter of Podcast Brunch Club (PBC)!
Every month, PBC releases a new listening list featuring themes like, secrets, fear, and creativity. Members listen and get together to discuss the theme over brunch.
I’ve grown more comfortable with my shyness over the years, but I still tend to be pretty quiet in social situations.
Which is why my first few visits to PBC were a little intimidating…
🎉 Giveaway Raffle: Get Afraid Journal
To match October’s theme of Disruption, PBC is doing a giveaway of my book.
If you’ve already entered, forward this email to a friend who’d be interested.
I’d also be thrilled if you bought the paperback as a gift!
🖍️ This Annoying Life
I’ve been working my way through Oslo Davis’, “mindless coloring book for the highly stressed” called This Annoying Life. It’s a collection of illustrations featuring situations that are mildly infuriating. Busted grocery bags, tangled cords and missing contact lenses.
It’s been fun to flip through and fill in without a care.

Thanks for reading. I finally finished that gigantic 496 page biography of the composer/artist John Cage. My main takeaway from Begin Again is to deeply study your craft, teach it to others, connect with similar artists and work nonstop.
Keep an eye out for that new podcast episode about VR. See you fearly soon. 🙄
